As Hargrave’s Varsity Football coach, I know how important it is for a young man to have a well-rounded education, and I am extremely confident in Hargrave's unmatched ability to provide it.

If you have a son that struggles with academics, Hargrave provides structure in the classroom, structure out of the classroom, and structure in his life! Structure is a time tested way to improve self-confidence and personal accountability.

If your son is interested in attending and excelling in college, Hargrave can help! Hargrave’s Class of 2010 had a 100% college acceptance rate. We excel at working with our young men to help them gain college acceptance!

If you have a son that could play at the ‘next level’ and have questions about NCAA eligibility (Core GPA + SAT/ACT score = NCAA Eligibility), Hargrave is the right place for the solutions. If your son needs to take or re-take his SAT or ACT, Hargrave maintains on-site testing, and offers both exams multiple times a year!

If you have questions about recruiting and exposure, Hargrave is where you want to be. Last year, my best prospects from the varsity team were able to get exposure to hundreds of DI, DII, NAIA, DIII, and JUCO level programs in the country.

Collectively, they were able to speak with dozens of these schools. Last May alone, I was able to speak with nearly half a dozen division D-IA, D-IAA, or NAIA schools about the prospects for our 2010 football team who traveled to Hargrave to find out! These schools included Eastern Carolina University, Richmond (2008 D-IAA National Champs), Elon, Monmouth and Pikeville. These schools and many others are calling, and will continue to do so through signing day in February 2011.

As you can see, there are many reasons why I’m confident about our school. It provides opportunities upon opportunities for young men to succeed, which is the number one goal at Hargrave. If your son has the will, we will find a way!
