Maxine is the wife of John Alexis, a 1989 graduate of Hargrave, and has served on the Board of Trustees since July 2018. Maxine has been a lawyer in the financial services industry for 25 years, beginning her career in the hedge fund practice group of international law firm Sidley Austin LLP in 1998 before moving to Deutsche Bank in 2003, where she served as a Senior Legal Counsel and then Global Co-Head of the Alternatives Legal Practice Group. In 2012, Maxine left Deutsche Bank to spend more time with her family and for the next 2 years, worked for the family business, Bow Brickhill Stables, a large horse boarding and training farm in New Jersey which is still managed by John. In 2014, Maxine took on the role of Head of Managed Account Structuring and Managing Director at HedgeMark, a Bank of New York company. 8 years later, Maxine is proud to have been a key member of the management team that built HedgeMark into the largest hedge fund managed account platform. Maxine retired in 2022 but continues to provide advisory services to HedgeMark and its new owner, Innocap. Maxine holds an LL.B. (Hons) in Business Law and an LL.M in Law from City University, London, and is admitted to the New York State Bar.
