Colonel Brown was the son of a career Marine and was born in Key West, FL. He served nearly 28 years in the United States Marine Corps. A graduate of Purdue University (B.S.) and the National Defense University (M.S.), Colonel Brown spent a career doing many things to serve our county. From border operations, multiple deployments supporting combat operations and numerous training events, he enjoyed his career as a Marine Corps Logistics Officer. During his lifetime, he has moved 27 times and is glad the good Lord called him and his family to Hargrave. Colonel Brown and his wife of 17 years, Sharon (Toms River, NJ) are thrilled to raise their two kids, Nick (12) and Hannah (8), in Chatham. With their two Labradors in tow, the Brown family is often on campus watching and participating in all that goes on. "Hargrave is a special place. The Cadets make the days exciting in many ways (wink). It is a big family and everyone pulls together to support cadets in achieving their dreams.
