White is Naval Academy Bound

Cadet Kevin White has been a Hargrave student since the 8th grade. Now in his senior year, he has received appointments and acceptances to both the United States Military Academy (West Point) and The United States Naval Academy. Our Hargrave Family could not be more proud of him!

He recently completed a preview weekend in Annapolis where he was “the most aggressive high schooler there. Many were terrified to be away from home and have people tell you what to do. I was ready for it.” Hargrave did not prepare him for everything though. “Jeans were on the packing list and I had to go buy some.”

White wants to make a career of the Marine Corps and become an Intelligence Officer. That is a long way from being a 7th grader with subpar grades and little direction.

While at Hargrave, Cadet White competed for the Varsity Track, Swimming, Wrestling and Football Teams and has been a member of the Chess, Speech and Badminton Clubs. He is also very proud of his Eye of the Tiger badge.

He wishes that everyone knew that Hargrave helps you to learn how to deal with life’s conflicts. “You really learn patience and how to work with others.”

“Go Navy, Beat Army!”
