Cadets can earn their PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructor) certification through the SCUBA activity. Certification requirements consist of two classroom periods, an exam, three pool dives in the Hargrave pool, and two open water dives in the nearby JMR Quarry. This certifies Cadets to dive down to 60 feet.
Classes and dives are led by Black Pearl Scuba with Hargrave faculty & staff as advisors.
It is very intense! Being underwater really takes you out of your element. It is a different world and so perfect and relaxing.
