Mrs. Jill Wood, RN

Former Nurse

Jill received her Associate of Arts Degree from Central Christian College located in McPherson, Kansas; she then continued her education at Bethel College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Jill then moved to Illinois where she worked as a medical/surgical nurse for 1 year, ER and trauma nurse specialist for 3 years, OB nurse on a labor/delivery floor for 5 years, and an OB/GYN office nurse for 1 year. She then made the decision to move to Virginia where she worked as a school nurse at Forest Hills Elementary School-Danville for 2 ½ years and George Washington High School-Danville for 7 years.

Jill considers herself lucky to be entering her 21st year of nursing.

What I like about working here, at Hargrave, is seeing how the adults interact with the cadets and watching the values and character trying to be taught/learned through their interactions. It’s encouraging to watch the entire team of people who work together to encourage their high values, standards and integrity for our next generation of cadets.
