The Tigers opened up their 2018 season on Friday afternoon against Roanoke Valley Christian at Simpson Parade Field. After a well-played match, the contest ended in a 1-1 draw. 

For the second year in a row the Tigers soccer team were awarded the National Ethics and Sportsmanship Team Award (Silver Level) by the United Soccer Coaches Association.

Our Registrar/Head Varsity Soccer Coach Jeremy Eubank, has been selected to coach at the United States Military Academy at West Point (Army) for their Men's Summer ID Camp for July 8 -11, 2018.

On Saturday February 17th, Head Coach Jeremy Eubank completed the second session of the Goalkeeper Clinic Series at Simpson Parade Field.

Jesse Vogg of Chatham, VA earned the Senior Excellence Award presented by the USCA (United Soccer Coaches Association).

"One of six schools in the state of Virginia and the only military school in the country, speaks volumes about who we are and what do as a school," stated Eubank.

The Tigers took the lead and never looked back.

Getting off to an early start, the Tigers never looked back for the 3-0 win.

In what was end to end action, the Tigers were able to win in the closing seconds of double overtime 3-2.

Scoring the opening goal and the last goal of the game, the Tigers fell short on the road 3-2.

Scoring in the opening seconds, the Tigers took a commanding lead and never looked back for the 8-0 win.

The Tigers traveled to Roanoke on Friday to face Southwest VA Home School looking to avenge their early season loss. In a tight contest from beginning to end, the Tigers were able to pull out a 1-0 win.

The Tigers took to the pitch in another VIC clash against the Miller Mavericks out of Charlottesville on Wednesday afternoon. Getting off to a slow start, the Tigers were able to get it going in the second half for the 6-1 victory.

The Tigers took on the Barons of Blue Ridge School on Friday evening in their first VIC (Virginia Independent Conference) clash of the season. It was a tight contest throughout and the Tigers were able to prevail with a late game winner for the 2-1 win.

In a battle that went back and forth for the entire game, the Tigers were finally able to break the deadlock in the 75th minute to earn their first win of the season 1-0.

Of the 60 kids that tried out for the Under-18 Egyptian National soccer team, Hargrave's own Youssef Abouzied (Cairo, Egypt)  earned a spot. Abouzied, son of  Taher Abouzied,who is now the Minister of State for Sports for Egypt was also on a national team which he helped them win the 1986 African Cup of Nations.
