Our seniors in the Class of 2022 continue to receive acceptance letters from top colleges and universities across our nation. This amazing accomplishment is a credit to the hard work done by these students, as well as the excellent support they’ve received from their teachers and staff members like Ben Veshi (Director of College Counseling) and Morgan Tyree (School Counselor). Our current seniors are on track to continue our long-standing tradition of 100% college acceptance.
The College Counseling department at Hargrave continues to be a source of guidance and support as these boys move forward into the next phase of their lives. We congratulate all those who have been accepted and those who will soon be receiving good news!
The Admissions team at Hargrave Military Academy is gearing up for a busy fall season! We have a number of events coming up where families can meet with us. Our goal is to provide each family with the information they need to make an informed decision about their child’s education. If someone you know is considering (or should be considering) Hargrave, please reach out and let us know! We would love to meet with them in person.
Here are the upcoming events where families can meet with our Admissions team:

This year marked our scheduled 10-year accreditation by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS). This is a major milestone in the life of the school. Our faculty and staff have been working for two years to prepare for the accreditation team visit which took place last week. While we will not receive official notification for several weeks, every indication is that we successfully satisfied all standards for accreditation!
I wanted to take the time to reach out about a driver’s education course opportunity. We tentatively plan to host this course, geared towards Virginia drivers, April 18-29 from 6:30-8:30pm. The instructor works for the Safe Driving School of the Piedmont, and he will come to the school each weeknight over those two weeks in order to work with the cadets who sign up. The classroom portion of the course does not require a valid learner’s permit, however a learner’s permit is required for the driving portion (we are not currently offering the driving portion of the course). The class costs approximately $155 per cadet. They will not be able to miss more than two classes in order to pass, so please take into consideration athletic competition schedules. I am unable to speak to the validity of the course for non-Virginia residents.
If you are interested in signing your cadet up for the course, please let me know. I am getting initial numbers and then I will connect you individually with the driving school in order to arrange payment. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great weekend!
