My name is Christy Mayhew Lipscomb. I am a local. My parents owned a business in the town of Chatham and my father was a town police officer for many years. I am married to my husband Jimmie. We have three children: Ashley, who is doctor in resident at the University of Kentucky hospital; Kaitlyn , a 4th year at the University of Virginia (Go Hoos); and my son Cole, a sophomore in high school. We live in the Spring Garden community.
I have an A.A.S in Information Systems Technology, Bachelors in Business from Averett University, and an MAT from Liberty University, specializing in Special Education. I worked in Admissions for eight years prior to teaching Special Education and Dual Enrollment Career and Technical education for 12 years.
I am very excited about joining the Admissions teams at Hargrave as an Admissions Counselor. Hargrave is a special place to me especially because of growing up in the area. Due to the focus on academics, spirituality, character, and athletics, I know the education that a student receives at Hargrave is priceless.
