A Bowling Green, Kentucky, native, Zach McDaniel graduated from Brescia University while majoring in Education and Sports Management. McDaniel was a three-year starter at Brescia University, where he led his team in both three-point percentage his senior season, and charges taken in a single season. McDaniel was also named to the Dean’s List his senior year and voted Homecoming King.
After basketball finished up, McDaniel went on to be a volunteer assistant for Coach A.W. Hamilton at Eastern Kentucky University, where he helped EKU achieve their best start to Ohio Valley Conference play in 41 years. McDaniel scheduled and supervised student managers, planned team meals, organized equipment, and helped with statistical analysis of practices and games. Due to injuries, McDaniel was even allowed to participate in practice and workouts. McDaniel comes back to Hargrave after playing on the Post Graduate team under former Coach A.W. Hamilton in 2014-15.
The 2020-21 season will be McDaniel’s first season with the Hargrave Military Academy Post Graduate Basketball program.
