Chief Warrant Officer-3 Rader is the son of a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and was born in Fort Worth, TX. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Private, was promoted meritoriously (early) three times and reached the rank of Gunnery Sergeant before applying and being selected for the Warrant Officer Program where was appointed and eventually commissioned as a Chief Warrant Officer. He retired after more than 22 years of service in 2020.
During his service, he was stationed across the United States, was deployed on humanitarian response efforts and was selected as the Recruiting Station Kansas City, Recruiting Substation Commander of the Year (2008). He also spent two years in Europe and Africa supporting training and crisis operations including the development and execution of a Noncommissioned Officer Training Course for the Azerbaijani Military.
He is a graduate of Grantham University (A.S. in Information Systems) and of Liberty University (B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and M.A. in Executive Leadership). He holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and is a member of the Field Artillery’s Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
Chief Warrant Officer-3 Rader is married to the former Jessica Garcia of Clewiston, FL. Their oldest daughter is currently serving her second enlistment in the U.S. Air Force and they bring their youngest three children with them to Chatham.
