Hi! I’m Meredith Martin! I was born and raised in the picturesque town of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. In pursuit of my dreams of becoming a teacher, I studied history and education, earning a bachelor’s degree in history, secondary education in 2011. I began my teaching career in the Wilkes County public school system and moved on to Chatham Hall, where I also served as a teacher, dorm parent, and coach.
As I look forward to my newest endeavor as the Director of the Academic Learning Center at Hargrave, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to encourage our young men to take pride in themselves through their academic pursuits and help them cultivate a foundation that will lead them to become lifelong learners. I believe in building relationships with people and am thrilled to be in a position where I can advocate for the cadets and help them achieve their goals!
After years of being a part of the Hargrave family as an extension of my husband, Lee, I am extremely excited to finally be a Tiger in my own right! I am thankful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to an awesome school year! Go Tigers!
