LtCol Nicholas Morris, USMC (Ret)

LtCol Morris was born and raised in Oklahoma, spending most of his time in Luther OK, a small rural farming community on Historic Route 66. He joined the Army when he was 17 and spent 8.5 years as an Infantry soldier and Drill Sergeant.

He finished a degree in Psychology/Sociology at Oklahoma State University and joined the United States Marine Corps, where after attending OCS was commissioned as an officer and assigned to fly the CH-53E helicopter. He has multiple deployments throughout the world including 10 combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq since 9-11. He has served with all branches of the U.S. Military, conventional and Special Operations, and with multiple Coalition and Allied forces. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel serving as a Squadron Commander and leading great Americans in a very successful combat deployment to Afghanistan.

I was led to Hargrave by God. I retired from military service to take of my ill father. When he passed on I was going to raise cattle in OK and serve with a home rebuilding ministry. I was called out of the blue to serve at Hargrave - I didn’t know what Hargrave was before that phone call. I could not fight the calling, the purpose of what Hargrave does. I have been blessed to serve with exceptional men and women who come from all walks of life, overcome all types of obstacles, and are successful; so I know success. Hargrave Military Academy gives every one of our Cadets the opportunity for grand success and I am thrilled to be a small part of this mission.
