After retiring from playing Freeman returned to Ohio University to become a Graduate Assistant with the Men’s Basketball program while attaining his Master’s Degree in Coaching Education. During his time coaching the Bobcats the team finished 2nd in the MAC with First-Team performer Jaaron Simmons.

The past year was Freeman’s first year at Hargrave where the team went 37-4.

Hargrave's post-grad basketball program speaks for itself in the basketball community. The amount of success and the players that Hargrave has produced are a testament to the type of young men that Hargrave produces. I truly believe that there is no better place in the country to prepare young men for the college environment as well as for life. Hargrave is a special place and I am so thankful to be a part of this historic program.
