A Muncie, Indiana native who graduated from Ohio University while majoring in Business Marketing. Freeman was a state runner-up in Indiana during the 2008-2009 & 2009-2010 seasons at Muncie Central High School. By the end of his playing career for Ohio University he was the school’s all-time leading maker and percentage leader from the 3-point line. In his Junior year, 2010, he helped guide the Bobcats to a Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship as well as an NCAA tournament appearance. In the first round of the NCAA tournament, the Bobcats stunned the 3rd seeded Georgetown Hoyas. Upon graduation from Ohio University, Freeman went on to play basketball professionally in Europe for three seasons with stints in England, Switzerland, and Scotland.
After retiring from playing Freeman returned to Ohio University to become a Graduate Assistant with the Men’s Basketball program while obtaining his Master’s Degree in Coaching Education. During his time coaching the Bobcats the team finished 2nd in the MAC with First-Team performer Jaaron Simmons.
The 2021-2022 school year marks Coach Freeman’s 4th year at Hargrave as an Assistant Coach.
