Meet the Coach

Mrs. Elizabeth Pitcher graduated from Averett University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. As a student-athlete, she received the Curtis Bishop Award for Outstanding Service, as well as recognition for Outstanding Service and Contributions to Women’s Cross Country during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

After teaching English language arts for five years in Pittsylvania County Schools, Mrs. Pitcher joined Hargrave as a reading and honors English instructor. She earned her Master of Education from Liberty University and is a Virginia-licensed K–12 reading specialist. She has coached track and cross country throughout her professional career.
