Head Coach
15 Years Building Arms and Programs
Coach Bailey brings 15 years of collegiate coaching experience to Hargrave, spanning NCAA Division I, Division III, and summer collegiate ball. His career includes stops at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, a 13-year tenure at Hampden-Sydney College, and a head coaching role in the Beach Collegiate Baseball League. Under his coaching, seven players have gone on to professional careers — including placements in Major League Baseball, the Mexico Baseball League, and independent professional leagues.
Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a team captain in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. He is a longtime member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and holds Driveline Pitching, Rapsodo Pitching, and Strength and Conditioning certifications, reflecting his commitment to modern, data-driven player development.
