CPT Betsy Kent

STEM Chair

Betsy has spent most of her career working in manufacturing as a Quality Assurance Manager. She also taught Microbiology as a “hobby” to the nursing students at Danville Community College.

In the back of her mind, she always knew that teaching was one of her passions. When it became time to make a change in her career, she began researching the idea of becoming a teacher and discovered Hargrave.

Not all kids are interested in science, so I have to take a hands-on, have-fun approach. Though every day they want to blow something up!I am grateful that I was given the chance to work with these young men and I hope every day that I am making an small impact in their lives. Science Rocks!
