The Forensics Team came back to Hargrave with quite a list of achievements!
In the speech categories, Hayden Bressoud placed 6th in the Original Oratory. He will perform even better as his oratory gets further developed throughout the season!
In Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Seth Collins and Rashed Khraisat turned a LOT of heads by making up two of the three competitors who tied for 4th place! These two have more opportunities in the future to develop their skills further, and to consistently perform at this level early on is impressive.
The biggest accomplishment came in Student Congress. We had four students entered in the event, all of whom had never competed in it before. The boys did a phenomenal job applying the tricks and methods they have learned into their performances! Abraham Frazier, Luis Vale, and Hayden Bressoud swept Student Congress with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively! The Student Congress Chairman said he was impressed by the boys and how well they did for a first time out!
Forensics will have another chance to compete on November 19th.
