FEBRUARY 28, 2026 — For the 7th straight year, and the 34th time in the event’s history, the Hargrave Tigers have emerged victorious with the 2026 First Piedmont Corp. Invitational title by defeating the Greensboro Cavaliers, 119-77! Hargrave’s final regular season win in Saturday’s title tilt marked the program’s 148th straight win inside historic Walter Davis Gymnasium which still stands as the current program record for consecutive home wins. After a sluggish start, the Tigers turned it in with a barrage of 3s from a handful of players but none more prominent than JJ Sullivan ’26 (St. Paul, MN) who knocked in six three pointers en route to a game high (and season high) 26 points to wrap up Hargrave’s regular season. The Tigers head into the Elite Prep League Tournament in Hampton, VA as the #8 team in the country and the #3 seed in the EPL Tournament, finishing the regular season with a record of 36-6 – the program’s 15th straight 30+ win season!
