Benson Lin has officially committed to attend Hargrave Military Academy in the fall. While Lin has established himself as one of the top guard prospects in the 2018 class in the United States, he carries with him a sizable following on the global scene.
Lin comes to Hargrave by way of Taiwan, where he is regarded as one of the best prospects in it’s history. Word spread quickly about Benson when he came stateside with help from Prep Athletics, to the point that ESPN wrote a feature article about him in February:
What it’s like to be called the ‘next Jeremy Lin’
Lin joins a Hargrave varsity team that reached the state elite 8 last season after setting a school record for wins with 26 (26-4 overall). “Not only is Benson a fantastically talented scorer, he makes his teammates better and you’d be hard pressed to find a young man with stronger character off the court. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Hargrave family.” commented Head Varsity Coach Ben Veshi.
Lin will join Hargrave in the fall after competing on the AAU circuit this summer and also spending some time with his family in Taiwan. For more information, please visit http://www.hargravesports.com or email basketball@hargrave.edu.
