The JV Basketball team took on North Cross last night and came up on the short end of the score.
A slow start by the Tigers put them in a significant hole to start the game. North Cross raced out to a 22-4 lead after just one quarter. The guys played better defense in the second quarter but still trailed at the half, 27-8. The start of the third quarter was met with a different intensity and focus from all the team. Even though they still trailed after three, 38-20, the Tigers made one more push. They cut the lead to seven with just a couple minutes remaining, but North Cross was able to make several free throws to seal the win. Final score, 48-35.
Cadet Edwards led the way offensively for the Tigers with 11 points, Cadet Inge and Jacobs chipped in with eight and seven points respectively. The Tigers out-rebounded North Cross 27-13. Cadet Franzoni had a game high 11 rebounds followed by Cadet Jacobs with five. Thanks to all who came out to support, they really appreciate it.
