Hargrave 45 – Dan River 53
The Hargrave JV Basketball Tigers started the season against the historically tough Dan River Wildcats. The Tigers lead most of the first half and went into half time leading 21 to 20. In the third quarter the Tigers were out scored 17 to 10 in spite of good intensity and hustle. This proved to be the difference in the game. The Tigers were led in scoring by Jeff Currence with 21 points, James Downing with 12 points and Walter Morrisette with 9 points. James Downing also lead the team with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. With the first game jitters out of the way the JV Tigers look to rebound against Holy Cross at home 4:00 pm Thursday. Hope to see you there. Go Tigers.
