JV Soccer Slips Against LCA

September 15, 2011

The Tigers suffered a setback against the Bulldogs ofLiberty Christian. The team came out strong and motivated, but two errors in the defense gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead during the first half. The Tigers managed to contain a very good opponent for the rest of the half by thecombined efforts of the defense and the numerous saves by keeper BlakeHorne.
During the second half Hargrave had a few opportunities, but were unable to capitalize on them. There were important plays led by Moses Ng and assisted by David Denis and team captains Austin Kaizer and Zackery Packer,but they were unable to reach our opponents’ goal. The Bulldogs added three more goals during the second half to seal the final score of 5-0 over the Tigers.
