The Tigers defeated Eastern Mennonite in double overtime by a score of 47-46. A balanced scoring attack and good team defense led to a three point first quarter lead, an eight point halftime lead and an eleven point lead after three quarters. EMHS mounted a furious comeback in the fourth quarter, took the lead with a few minutes remaining and seemed to have the Tigers on the ropes. But down the stretch, Cadet Inge made a huge three pointer while getting fouled to give the lead back to the Tigers. EMS scored quickly to tie the game once again and a good defensive stand by the Tigers sent the game to overtime. The Tigers scored off the jump ball when Cadet Franzoni tipped it to a streaking Cadet Posley for an easy layup. The lead was short lived and both teams played great defense to keep the game tied and send it to a second overtime. In the second overtime, EMS looked to have the game in hand once again. They had a one point lead, Hargrave had the ball, and the seconds ticking away. With 10 seconds remaining, Cadet Rogers rebounded a missed shot and put it right back up and in for a one point Tiger lead. Once again the defense tightened and a long shot at the buzzer for EMJS bounced harmlessly off the side of the rim. Cadet Rogers and Inge led a balanced Tiger attack with 13 points each while Cadet Franzoni had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
