The Tigers traveled to Roanoke for a VIC match-up against the Raiders of North Cross. Both teams had to contend with a waterlogged field as well as the brisk air of the impending winter storm. North Cross struck first to open the scoring, but were held in check as the Tigers quickly responded with a goal of their own. This pattern was consistent throughout the first half of play, but the Tigers were edged out 5-3 at halftime. The second half did not go as well for the Tigers as the defensive efforts were a bit undisciplined and led to a series of penalties for the Tigers that gave the Raiders of North Cross a distinct advantage for the remainder of the game. The Tigers would push back in the final quarter, but it would not be enough to close the gap between the two teams as the Tigers fell 11-6.
Notable in-game performances were had by midfielder Iver Liu (2 goals, 2 Assists), Connor Rogers (2 goals), Ben Perry (3 GB recoveries), Nick Duran (1 goal, 1 Assist, and 5/10 face-off victories) and Jackson Reeder who recorded 10 saves on the day.
The Tigers will return to action following Spring Break.
