Parents Weekend
Parents Weekend was an unequivocal success, leaving a trail of smiles and cherished memories in its wake. The campus buzzed with a sense of warmth and connection as families reunited with their sons. From the heartwarming embrace at the arrival to the emotional farewell at the end, the weekend was a testament to the power of family bonds. Engaging activities, like Meet the Tigers and the Parents Weekend parade, provided ample opportunities for parents to immerse themselves in the Cadet experience.
Hopkins-Godley Cross Country Invitational
Parents Weekend began with a Hargrave victory! The Hargrave Tigers placed first on their home turf in the Annual Hopkins-Godley Invitational. Before the race began, seven seniors were honored for their commitment and devotion to the team.

This year’s Meet the Tigers was one for the books! Between a round of knockout and the dunk contest, the excitement was never-ending.

Varsity Soccer Defeats Carlise
After losing to Carlisle just eight days prior, HMA pulled off a 3-1 win at home for Parents Weekend! Scorers for the Tigers were Teni Olufore ’24, Keylen Hudson ’25, and Patrick Fowlkes ’27.

Leadership through Service
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
Hargrave Military Academy emphasizes leadership through service. In Matthew 20:26-28, Jesus teaches us that true greatness is found in being a servant. He Himself came not to be served but to serve and give His life for others. As cadets and leaders, we are called to follow His example. Our service is not just about helping others but also about leading by example. When we serve with humility and selflessness, we embody the principles of servant leadership that Jesus taught. Let’s strive to be leaders who serve with the heart of a servant.

Military College Night
Military College Night was a huge success. The night was filled with informative presentations, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities that allowed Cadets to gain valuable insights into the various military college programs available. Hargrave alumni Nick Meyers ’23 and Aiden White ’23 tagged along with the Virginia Tech representative to share their experience as part of the VT Corps of Cadets. Other schools present were The Citadel, West Point, Norwich, North Georgia, The Naval Academy, and VMI.
