Cadets Shine Over Alumni Weekend

Camden Rifles

The Camden Rifle Team showcased their skills at the 1st Annual Virginia Military School Drill Competition, securing impressive results with 5 second-place and 2 third-place finishes among 8 events. Despite being outnumbered, with only 18 cadets competing against teams with more than 22 members, our cadets displayed exceptional dedication and poise.

Our Hargrave Pipes & Drums, also known as the Highlanders, achieved significant success at the Loch Norman Games. Competing against 18 other pipe bands, they delivered stellar performances and won their division, earning the title of 2024 EUSPBA Southern Branch Champions.

The boys who remained on campus for Alumni Weekend demonstrated remarkable determination, professionalism, and poise throughout the weekend’s activities. Their commendable efforts during the annual retreat ceremony, meticulous room inspections, and the parade highlighted their discipline and pride in representing our esteemed institution.

In recognition of the Corps of Cadets’ exemplary performances on and off campus during the recent Alumni Weekend, Eric Peterson, President of Hargrave Military Academy, declared Thursday, 25 April 2024, as a President’s Holiday.
