Soccer gives it a kick against Eastern Mennonite

These brave young Cadets  traveled deep into enemy territory on Saturday October 18th.  For those who don’t know, Eastern Mennonite has a  plague hanging in their locker room that reminds them of the worst soccer loss in their school’s history , and you better believe Hargrave Soccer has its name on the chunk of wood .

Your warriors from HMA soccer ,  most of them getting on the bus straight from four hours of drill competition with Camden Rifles,  took the field knowing they were outnumbered,  knowing their legs were tired , knowing they didn’t eat breakfast or lunch, but they lined up once again next to each other as brothers.

Cadet Patrick Fowlkes  whose battle cry before every match can be heard over any and all opponents  is all this team needs to get them going .

With only 2 subs on the bench our Tigers played their hearts out  and did not quit even as  The Mennonites poured it on. The leadership and character on the field this past Saturday is worth more than any scoreboard to me at this point .

Cadet Evan Holmes at center midfield really dug deep for his teammates this game.  Cadet Tristan. Schwartz went after  every ball that came in his area.  Cadet Dovel showed  his skills as a defender and his heads up play is just continuing to improve.  Cadet Mo Baker and Cadet Koa Kihei  were extremely valuable in this match.

Final Score Eastern Mennonite 13 Hargrave 0
