The mighty Tigers faced a tough challenge for a home opener in conference foe Blue Ridge yesterday afternoon. Blue Ridge struck early in the first half as their foot work shows why they are a constant top 3 in the BRAC. Blue Ridge put up a quick three on the Tigers, with none of their goals being rippers . They managed to move the ball on our very young defense .
In his first start EVER , 8th grader Cadet Gavin Outlaw had five saves in the first half . Cadet Tristan Schwartz stepped in after halftime for his first start in the net as a Varsity keeper . He has played at the JV level previously. His communication and size helped him rack up 3 saves .
Great hustle from the entire team . Coach Bujnowski said he was extremely proud of all of these young men , many of whom have never even played on a varsity team before . Coach Bujnowski said he has the utmost faith that the captains Cadet Patrick Fowlkes ,Cadet Charles Gaddy and Cadet Jack Alviani will get this team back on track .
