The Tigers’ return to Simpson Parade field was a successful one, dispatching the Gaels of Holy Cross Regional by a score of 4-1.
Despite allowing an early goal, the Tigers roared back, and the attacking duo of Raines Wall and Chris Czarnecki proved too much for the Gael defense to handle. Czarnecki assisted Wall for the equalizing goal before half, and again shortly after halftime. Czarnecki himself finished off two opportunities, in the 48th minute and 80th minute to put the game out of reach.
The win moves the Tigers to 1-1 in VIC play, and 2-2 overall. They will be back on the Simpson Parade Field pitch Thursday, September 10th, at 4:30PM, taking on VIC rival The Covenant School.
