On “Teacher Appreciation Night,” the Hargrave PG Basketball team moved to 2-0 with a 105-75 victory over Rockingham Community College. The program recognized the teachers who work day in and day out with our young men and play a crucial role in the development of these young men off the court. The Tigers used a balanced attack, including having eight players in double figures, to overwelm its opponent. The Tigers were led by Cody Russell, who finished with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Shannon Evans (Buffalo) finished with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists. Donte Clark (Virginia Tech) finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Greg McClinton (Wake Forest) finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Jeremy Saunders finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Anton Gill (Louisville) finished with 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Terry Rozier (Louisville) finished with 10 points, 7 assists, 4 steals, 4 rebounds. Neville Fincher finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals.
