The Tigers opened up their season against one of the top teams in the state and unfortunately lost 43-14 to Saint Anne’s Belfield. Despite the outcome of the game, the Tigers played well all game and improved during the course of the game. In the 3rd quarter, backup quarterback Jean Claude Adams connected with Darrell Smith on a 54 yard touchdown pass. Jean Claude Adams then connected with Cody Dix in the back corner of the endzone for the 2 point conversion. The excitment continued to as Kristian Ragland carried the team on the next possesion with runs of 38 yards and 13 yards to set up his scoring rush from 3 yards out.
Defensively the Tigers improved during the course of the game to hold STAB to only two touchdowns in the second half. Seniors Connor Rougeau, Robert Englander and Stone Thurman stepped up their intensity and recorded numerous tackles to hold back the powerful STAB attack.
