The Tigers fell to a tough Dan River High School team 65-71. The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead, fueled by accuracy at the free throw line and a flurry of early three point makes. Going into halftime, Dan River was ahead 38-28. Hargrave was unable to chip into the lead in the third quarter, as the two teams exchanged buckets for much of the period. A furious comeback in the fourth was held off by the Wildcats.
Hargrave was led by Ben Amos with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Danny Smith continued his strong play with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Andrew Owusu chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds, and Avery Johnson added 8 points and 9 rebounds.
