Varsity Basketball vs. Holy Cross School

May 26, 2011

The Tigers got a huge win Tuesday night when they defeated the Gaels of Holy Cross 74-61. Leading the way for the Tigers were seniors Ryan King (17 pts, 9 rebs., and 4 steals) and James Eversley (15 pts., 10 rebs., 4 assist, and 4 steals). Senior point guard Terry Teal (11 pts, 6 rebs., and 4 steals) also had a solid night on both ends of the court. The biggest surprise of the night came from the play of reserve guard Justin Boyd (15 pts., 3 rebs., and 2 steals). With the win Hargrave’s record improves to 8-6 overall and 7-2 VIC. The Tigers return to the hardwoods on Thursday, Feburary 3rd when the team will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to take on the Tornados of Timberlake Christian Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
