The Varsity Lacrosse team once again established it’s dominance within the military school lacrosse ranks with a dominate performance and big conference win over the Caissons of Fishburne. The Tigers got on the board early on a connection from Charles Lee and Connor Rogers. Lee was credited with the goal and never let off the gas pedal for the rest of the afternoon. After struggling in thier previous game, the Tigers offense let loose a flurry of goals throughout the afternoon as many players had a season high day: Attacker Charles Lee recorded 4 goals, Midfielder Connor Rogers found the goal 6 times and added 4 assists, Chandler O’Connor and Antonio Palou-Garcia each had a pair of goals and an assist to round off the goal scoring for the Tigers. Goalie Harrison Slay, Defenders Luke Dewitt and Caleb Rogers each had assist credits. Freshmen defender Chad Demarest tallied his first ever lacrosse point as he assisted Rogers’s final goal of the day.
The Tigers defense had another strong showing and was anchored by the play of starting goalie Harrison Slay who recorded 12 saves on 16 shots. Defenders Dewitt, Englander, Rogers, Duncanson, Luckett, and Demarest all played a very disciplined game and helped transition the ball back down to the offense at many key moments of the game. Back-up goalie Hunter Howerton saw some clean up duty late in the game and recorded 2 saves on 3 shots as well.
