The swim team traveled to North East, PA this weekend to take on 10th ranked Jamestown Jr. College and 13th ranked Merceryhurst Jr. College. Both teams came out on top of their meets. The men beat Jamestown 150-11 and Mercyhurst 152-44. The women won their meets as well beating Jamestown 90-61 and Mercyhurst 90-48. The men swam extremely well breaking the school record in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle. The woman were not out done at all by putting up 6 lifetimes best performances. Winning both of their individual events were Andrew Hetzner, Mike Miller, Patrick Martelli, Lauren Hines, Jessie Abbott, and Brittany Abbott. Andrew also broke the school record in the 200 freestyle as well as being apart of the 200 Medley Relay that broke the school record by more than 1 full second. Mike Miller just missed going the High school All-American in the 50 free by less than 1/2 of second turning in the third fastest 50 in the schools history. Other event winners included Drew Bennett, James Eu, Phillip Sgrignoli, and Clark Sprinkle. This being the first dual meet of the year for the team things is off to a very good start.
