The Tigers competed in the VIC tournament on Saturday at VES. The team came together with a total team effort and pulled off their 5th consecutive VIC championship.
Team scores were: Hargrave 172, VES 162.5, LCA 145, Covenant 97, NCS 78.5, Miller 56, Roanoke Catholic 52 and FMS 38. The following wrestlers competed for HMA: 112 Austin Koenenman 1st, 119 Adam Radan 1st, 125 Patrick Kelley 1st, 130 Afsheen Robinson 2nd, 135 Andrew Heiny 4th, 140 Chris Arnold 3rd, 145 John Nelson 2nd, 152 Preston Tanner 2nd, 160 Klaeton Davis, 171 Bert Dye 2nd, 215 William Holton and 285 Jon Sterner 1st.
The Tigers will return to action on Feb 16/17 at Woodberry Forest when they take part in the state championships.
