Coach Green brings more than 20 years of coaching and leadership experience to Hargrave, having led programs at the collegiate, prep, international, and high school levels. His career spans roles at institutions including Army West Point’s USMAPS, Jacksonville University, Kentucky State University, Eastern Oregon University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, alongside international coaching experience in the German Football League.
Green’s defensive expertise spans all three levels — secondary, linebackers, and defensive line — with decades of experience in the 3-4 and Desert Eagle Flex schemes. He developed his system under the mentorship of Jay Bateman, now defensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky, and Rich Ellerson, former head coach at Cal Poly and Army. A former standout defensive lineman at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Green graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
