Hargrave is pleased to announce the hiring of Wade Green as our Head Football Coach. Green will be joining the staff at Hargrave in the coming weeks to begin meeting players, recruiting, and preparing for the 2026 football season.
“Hargrave has a proud football tradition, with many former players moving on to the college and professional ranks,” remarked Hargrave President Sloan Gibson. “We’re excited to see what Wade builds here as we continue investing in strong competitive athletics at Hargrave.”
Green comes most recently from Eastern Oregon University, where he is the Defensive Line Coach. His 20+ year career includes stops at Kentucky State University, Jacksonville University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. During his nine-season tenure as Defensive Coordinator at the US Military Academy Prep School, Green compiled a 63-18 record, with his units allowing an average of less than 15 points per game over his final two seasons. As Head Coach, he led the program to a 7-1 record.
