Multidisciplinary Learning and Real-World Applications

Our curriculum is designed to engage and challenge. With thematic units that culminate in hands-on fieldwork, students will gain practical experience in STEM and liberal arts. Whether it’s a river survey integrating biology and environmental science or exploring the historical significance of Thomas Jefferson’s legacy, our approach ensures a rich, multidisciplinary learning experience for your son.

Local and National Perspectives

Summer Program students will embark on a journey through Virginia’s storied landscapes and historical sites. Our program offers an immersive exploration of the region, from the majestic Appalachian Trail to the historical richness of Colonial America. Each destination is a dynamic classroom, bringing lessons to life.

Our Sumer program doesn’t just look inward on Virginia, but also outward. Visits to Washington D.C., the D-Day Memorial, and other significant sites offer a national perspective, tying local experiences to broader themes in government, history, and entrepreneurship.

Boarding School Life: A Preview

For many, our summer program is the first taste of boarding school life. It’s an opportunity to experience the hands-on educational programs and camaraderie parents want for their sons.

Europe – Summer 2025

Dear families,

We’re going on a WWII-focused tour of Western Europe in the Summer of 2025, and you’re invited! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for this info session to be considered for this opportunity: CLICK HERE FOR INFO

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure. In this info session, we’ll discuss:

-How this opportunity will benefit your student
-What we’ll see and do on our trip
-Everything that’s included in this experience
-How your child can earn academic credit
-How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
-How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period

There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

Thank You,
Scott Roach
Social Studies Department Chair

Striving for Excellence

As we embark on our journey of growth and discipline, it is essential to focus on the pursuit of excellence. Excellence is not just a goal; it is a way of life that requires commitment, dedication, and a steadfast spirit. We must explore the concept of excellence through the lens of scripture to guide and inspire us on this noble path.

Foundation of Excellence: Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Trust in the guidance of the Lord as the foundation of your pursuit of excellence. When we rely on God’s wisdom, our actions are aligned with His purpose, leading us to success.
