Unable to overcome a slow start that saw the Tigers lose both the first and second quarter by 9 points, Hargrave’s season come to an abrupt halt in Charlottesville.
The Tigers struggled from the field all night, but saw solid offensive performances from Jason Fields (20 points, 2 steals) and Tyler Chisholm (12 points, 4 3-pointers). Robert Tubbs chipped in 6 assists and 3 steals on the evening with Keon McIntosh hauling in 9 carroms.
The game marks the final time that Seniors Keon McIntosh, Jason Fields, Ben Dorfman and Josh Fields will wear the black & orange. The basketball staff want to thank these young men for their hard work and dedication all year, and have no doubts that each of these young men will find success at their next stop as well.
Hargrave finishes the season with a 14-9 overall record, 8-3 in conference. It marked the 4th straight appearance in the State Tournament for the Tigers, who will undoubtedly re-load for another run at the title next season.
