Hargrave soccer earned a 1–0 victory over the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors on Monday, securing a hard-fought shutout.
The Tigers broke through in the 72nd minute when Henry Robertson headed home a corner kick from Isaac Wolfe. The late goal proved to be the difference as Hargrave’s defense held the Conquerors scoreless to preserve the win.
The team continues to show their great improvement year over year as they continue to play in this early season gauntlet of quality teams. Each and every game you can see the team grow more and more connections. This Tigers team is already putting it together but will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with by seasons end.
Hargrave will return to action Wednesday, hosting the Miller School at 5 p.m.
