Hargrave soccer battled to a 3–2 victory over Virginia Episcopal School (VES) on Tuesday, with the Tigers holding off the Bishops through the final whistle.
Tristan Schwartz led the way offensively with two goals, assisted by Mason Dellow and Julian Ojeda. Sam Meyers added the third goal for Hargrave, with Patrick Fowlkes providing the assist.
The Tigers also received another strong performance from goalkeeper Kai Ferrell, who came up with key plays throughout the match as Hargrave protected its lead late. Despite a determined push from the Bishops, the Tigers held on until the final whistle to secure the win.
Hargrave will return to action October 6 in Lynchburg, VA against the New Covenant Gryphons.
