Banks; Ferguson Sign

Hargrave Military Academy recognized the national signing day for future NCAA football players on February 3, 2010 in the school’s auditorium. One current and one former Hargrave Post-Graduate football player signed during the national event.

Cadet Ishmael Banks, a three star prospect according to Rivals.com, signed with West Virginia University. His parents are Dwight and Carol Banks of Richmond, Virginia.

Cadet Ego Ferguson, Jr. did not attend the Hargrave signing ceremony. He signed in New York’s Times Square with Tom Lemming of MaxPreps and CBS College Sports. Ferguson signed with Louisiana State University. His parents are Ego and Brenda Ferguson of Frederick, Maryland.

Hargrave’s Post-Graduate Football program has already placed 33 young men into programs during the 2009/2010 academic year. Banks and Ferguson raise that total to 35.

“We had good year so far for college placement,” said Head Coach Troy Davis. “These latest signings on National Signing Day are great new additions to our overall effort. Both future D1 football players will be true assets to their teams.”
