The Hargrave Varsity baseball team played host to Fork Union. Friday March 24th, and came away with a solid 5-4 victory. Hargrave got rolling early, scoring all five runs in the first inning off a Nick Tattersfield single, doubles by Riggs Jordan and Mark Loving, and a triple by Warren Bailey. Bailey had an RBI, Loving and Jordan each had two RBI’s.
Loving started on the mound for the Tigers allowing 4 runs on 3 hits while striking out 5 Fork Union batters. Riggs Jordan closed the final three innings for the Tigers only allowing 1 hit while striking out 3 batters. Defensively, the Tigers had their second straight error-free game and improved to 4-3 on the young season.
