In VIC Conference action at Walter Davis Gymnasium Thursday, Hargrave Military Academy took down Eastern Mennonite, 83-45, to move to 12-3 overall and 3-0 in VIC Conference play.
Hargrave jumped out to an early advantage after the first quarter, 19-9, and then proceeded to ratchet their defensive intensity all the way up and went on a 43-0 run spanning from the end of the first quarter to the beginning of the third quarter, taking the lead 59-9 before Eastern Mennonite got back on the score board.
It was a total team victory for the Tigers, as 15 players played between 8-15 minutes on the afternoon as they were able to close out Eastern Mennonite 83-45.
