The Tiger’s defeated Virginia Episcopal School with a score of 41-0 on October 6, moving to 3-3 on the season. This was an all-around win from the Tigers.
The Tigers were led by Connor Rogers who was 11-13 for 150 yards and 3 TDs and he added 75 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown. Defensively, Jake Terry had a 60 yard interception return for a touchdown to help preserve the shutout by the Tigers’ defense.
During halftime, the athletic department retired Director of Alumni Relations and former Hargrave football player, Ben Wall’s football jersey.
Also, the faculty and staff were recognized for their commitment and dedication to the team and Corps as a whole.
The Football team also invited local Pop Warner football teams Dan River Wildcats, Tunstall Titans, Chatham Cavaliers, and Gretna Falcons to be recognized at halftime.
They will travel this week to compete against the defending State Champion team of Roanoke Catholic.
