The Varsity Lacrosse Team took to the field yesterday and gianed an impressive win against VIC Rival Fishburne Military School 23-5. With the win the Tigers improve to 2-4 in the conference, 2-6 overall.
A strong game was had by all members of the squad as many figured in to the scoring. Cadet defenders Caleb Rogers and Luke Dewitt once again anchored the defensive play. Rogers with a takeaway and solid clearing efforts and Dewitt with multiple ground ball and 2 takeaways and 1 intercepted pass. Cadet midfielders Russell Ferguson, Connor Rogers and Chandler O’connor had strong games and multiple points on the day. Cadet attack men Chris Brunetti and Justin Malinow both had strong offensive games as well.
Depth players include Cadets Patrick Franzoni, Raines Wall, Corey Goodman, Blake Sibley and Russell Davis. They had strong showings as well. Franzoni and Goodman scored their first goals of the season . Cadet Goaltenders Henry Averett and Hunter Howerton split time in the net.
The Tigers with host the Raiders of North Cross next Tuesday at 4:30.
