On Friday, Hargrave lost in the championship game of the VIC tournament to the Bulldogs of Liberty Christian Academy by a score of 9 -1. Several fielding miscues and poor hitting were a problem for the Tigers throughout the game.
At the plate the Tigers were led by Cadets Chris Taylor (1 for 3), Ryne Sigmon (1 for 2), and Shane Bousman (1 for 2). Cadet Spence Walker to the loss on the mound.
With the loss Hargrave falls to 11-5 Overall and 9-2 in the VIC. Hargrave hopes to bounce back on Tuesday, May 14th, when the Tigers travel to Christchurch, Virginia to take on the Seahorses of Christchurch School in the first round of the VISAA Baseball Tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
