Another great day for Hargrave baseball as your Hargrave Tigers battled the Martinsville Bulldogs. The young Tigers took the field looking revenge from the earlier defeat suffered from the Bulldogs.
Cadet Virgil Liedy took the mound and silenced the Bulldog bats by striking out five of the nine batters he faced. The Tigers offense supported Cadet Liedy’s effort by Cadets Nick Paul (3 for 3), Martin Spalding (3 for 4), Trent Lovelace (2 for 3) and Jordan Davis (2 for 2). They hit the ball well and compiled 11 runs. The Martinsville Bulldogs tried to mount a comeback which was shortly halted by Cadet Paul, he closed the door by striking out 8 to seal the victory.
